PRP/PRFM Injection Information

Under Eye Treatment

PRP injections in the under-eye area are an excellent treatment for addressing fine lines and wrinkles in this region for optimum rejuvenation. PRP contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production when injected into the skin. By stimulating new collagen production, platelet-rich plasma helps tighten loose skin around the eyes to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles like crow’s feet, while also eliminating bags underneath the eyes.

PRP under eye treatment is also an excellent way to treat dark circles as they increase blood flow through this region. Puffiness and discoloration around the eyes are less visible with as little as one treatment.

Hair Restoration

Growth factors in PRP can help stimulate the activity of hair follicles and promote new hair growth. Increasing hair count, hair thickness, and the growth phase of the hair cycle.

For best results, consistency is key. Treatments are typically performed once a month for the first three to four months, and then every three to six months thereafter, depending on the individual patient's response and results. Following this protocol, anticipated results can first be seen within two to three months.

Pre & Post Treatment Instructions

Pre-treatment

To minimize the chance of bleeding or bruising at the injection site, please avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for one week prior to your treatment. This includes aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) such as ibuprofen, Motrin, and Aleve and wells as high doses of vitamin-E and Omega-3 fish oil. If you take aspirin or other blood thinners on your doctor's advice or orders, do not stop taking your medication.

Please notify us in advance if you are taking Coumadin, Plavix, or any other blood thinner for a medical condition.

To minimize bruising alcohol consumption should be avoided for 48 hours prior to treatment.

Post-treatment

To minimize bruising, refrain from taking blood-thinning medications and supplements (see above) for several days after treatment.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) may be used for pain-relief, if necessary.

Alastin Post-Injection serum is recommended to minimize possible bruising and swelling.

To maximize your results after your neurotoxin treatment:

Avoid direct high heat to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
Avoid sauna or steam room for the first 24 hours.
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is responsible for your skin rejuvenation.
